Hours of Service

Chestatee’s R.E.A.C.H program will be available beginning directly after school until 6:00 pm daily.

**During early release days, the program will run from 11:50a.m. - 6:00 p.m.  for an activity fee of $15. This fee will cover the cost of lunch and special activities on these days. The R.E.A.C.H program will not be open during school holidays or in the event of inclement weather.**

Parent Pick up
Release of students will be allowed to the parent or other authorized persons only. Students must be signed out by the authorized person at pick up daily. The student’s teacher is to be notified in writing of any changes regarding pick up procedures. For the safety of your child, picture I.D. will be required for pick up until our staff is familiar with parents and other authorized adults who pick your child up daily.                                                                                 To contact R.E.A.C.H after hours you can call: 770-887-2341

If you are late for pick-up, the cost will be $1 per minute per child (you will be billed monthly on school pay for late charges). Three late pick-ups or more may result in dismissal from the program.

Clothing

Kindergarten and first graders PLEASE keep a change of clothes in their backpack.                                                 Please dress your child appropriately for the weather and according to school regulations.

Enrollment/Registration
Registration forms for R.E.A.C.H will be available at Open House. We will be set up in the Cafeteria to take registration then. Early registration was made available for only those students who were enrolled during the previous school year and whose payments were in good standing. There is an annual registration fee of $50 per family. Once the pre registration form is complete the $50 payment link will be sent via school pay.

Pricing/Weekly Tuition

We will give you two options for payment, but you will have to choose the option you want and then use that all year.

Payments are made through www.schoolpay.com You will need to create a profile online before the links can be pushed to you

Here are the two options…

  1. $70.00 per week per child. If you choose this option you will receive weekly links in SchoolPay and not the monthly links.
  2. $255.00 per month per child. I am prorating the months so that every month will be the same. If you choose this option you will only receive the monthly links and not the weekly links. Choosing the monthly rate is actually saving you money as it is a little cheaper.

Forsyth County School Employees who are NOT Chestatee Employees will pay the following with the same explanation as above.

  1. $55.00 per week per child
  2. $200.00 per month per child.

Electronics

Students should not bring personal devices to afterschool. Children will not be allowed to use their devices. Throughout the afternoon, students will be allowed to use school devices for various activities.

Weekly Centers

Students will rotate through weekly centers. These centers could include Fun Lab, Science Lab, Study Lab, Playground, Gym, and Media Center. It is our desire that students enjoy their afternoon activities after they have been working hard at school all day. There will not be any individualized instruction or tutoring by the staff.

Pre-K

Pre-K is only available for Forsyth County employees whose children attend Chestatee’s Pre-K program. Students in Pre-k should be picked up by 4:00 daily.

Behavior Guidelines

We follow The Chestatee Way and expect our students to be:

Responsible, Respectful, Problem Solvers

We will be utilizing the school's Positive Behavior Intervention System (PBIS). Staff will reward students in various ways including our school wide bravo bucks.

Students will follow our school wide expectations and the staff will follow our behavior flowchart.

First Incident: Warning

Second Incident: Time Out of activity

Third Incident: Next Day sitting out of activities, conversation with parent

** A behavior that warrants a “write up” for severe behaviors is equal to a third incident.

Students who receive three “Write Ups” will possibly lose the privilege of staying in the R.E.A.C.H program.
